Important certifications for this role may include the Certified Transportation Broker (CTB) awarded by the Transportation Intermediaries Association. Prior to becoming a broker, a person may have roles such as Logistics Coordinator, Freight Agent, or Transportation Supervisor, where they gain valuable experience in the field of transportation and logistics management.
