“AI is amazing, but it’s far from perfect. It could add things to your resume, like a degree you don’t have or position you never held, from who knows where,” warned Rohner. “This is why you should never use something generated by AI without reviewing and editing it first.”

It also isn’t too difficult to identify content that’s been 100% generated by AI.

“Recruiters and HR managers may be able to tell that your resume was AI-generated if it’s too generic, doesn’t match up with your application or LinkedIn profile, or seems to lack any human touch,” Rohner added.

Your personal data could also be at risk. Be careful and do your research before using any AI tool.
