Sales Manager Jobs in Massachusetts

In the logistics industry, a Sales Manager plays a crucial role in business expansion and driving revenue. They are responsible for developing sales strategies, targeting potential customers, managing sales teams, building and maintaining relationships with clients, understanding their needs, and developing solutions to meet those needs. They are also responsible for setting goals, preparing sales reports, and meeting sales targets.

A Sales Manager in this industry should have a deep understanding of supply chain processes along with strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills. Certifications such as Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), or a related field would be beneficial. Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite is also required. Prior to becoming a Sales Manager, a person might have roles such as Sales Representative, Account Manager, or Business Development Executive in the logistics or related industries.
