Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Coach and manage a fleet of OTR drivers to ensure high on-time delivery performance and fleet profitability in our Freight Division
Develop a relationship with drivers to improve performance and encourage retention
Computer literate a must.
USPS background would be beneficial.
Knowledge of Samsara Driver App a plus.
Ability to Dispatch multiple OTR drivers effectively and efficiently.
Communicate customer needs to drivers through dispatch instruction
Review and authorize driver pay related items
Seek out new ways to generate revenue and increase profitability
Ensure driver and other transportation safety procedures are followed
Help with local advertising on sides of our fleet
Act as the driver advocate toward internal departments to answer driver questions, driver concerns, and resolve issues
Maximize equipment utilization and driver pay
Work closely with other departments to meet customer, driver, and company objectives and safety initiatives
Go to sites and perform safety audits on drivers
Diesel Mechanic background and abilities, preferred
Manage fleet of Tractors, Trailers, Box Trucks, Vans
Travel required, 15%
Minimum Qualification Requirements:

5 years of previous experience in a related field required
High school diploma or GED required and a degree in a related field preferred
Previous management or coaching experience required
Effective communication skills are needed
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Class A CDL a plus
