Job Summary:
The Production Lead – Electronic Assembly is responsible for overseeing daily production activities, ensuring efficient workflow, and maintaining quality standards in the electronic assembly process. This role requires strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and experience in electronic manufacturing to guide a team in achieving production targets and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily production activities in the electronic assembly department.
- Ensure that production schedules, deadlines, and quality standards are met.
- Provide guidance, training, and support to assembly technicians and operators.
- Monitor workflow and optimize processes to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
- Conduct quality inspections and enforce adherence to company and industry standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical and operational issues that arise during assembly.
- Maintain accurate production records and report key metrics to management.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and workplace policies.
- Collaborate with engineering, quality assurance, and supply chain teams to enhance production processes.
- Assist in implementing lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in manufacturing, electronics, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in electronic assembly or a similar manufacturing environment.
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of electronic components, soldering, assembly techniques, and industry standards.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities to lead a diverse team.
- Bilingual is a plus
- Proficiency in using production management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity of lean manufacturing principles and process improvement methodologies.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Capability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for handling small electronic components.
Work Environment:
- M-F 7am to 4pm
- Manufacturing floor environment with exposure to electronic components, tools, and machinery.
- May require the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, safety glasses, and ESD protection.
