Production Lead - Electronic Assembly

Data Panel is seeking a Production Lead for our Plymouth, MN office. Established in1991, a leading American company dedicated to the safety and efficiency of machine operators. Job Summary:

The Production Lead – Electronic Assembly is responsible for overseeing daily production activities, ensuring efficient workflow, and maintaining quality standards in the electronic assembly process. This role requires strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and experience in electronic manufacturing to guide a team in achieving production targets and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate daily production activities in the electronic assembly department.
• Ensure that production schedules, deadlines, and quality standards are met.
• Provide guidance, training, and support to assembly technicians and operators.
• Monitor workflow and optimize processes to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
• Conduct quality inspections and enforce adherence to company and industry standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical and operational issues that arise during assembly.
• Maintain accurate production records and report key metrics to management.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and workplace policies.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality assurance, and supply chain teams to enhance production processes.
• Assist in implementing lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in manufacturing, electronics, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in electronic assembly or a similar manufacturing environment.
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of electronic components, soldering, assembly techniques, and industry standards.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities to lead a diverse team.
• Bilingual is a plus
• Proficiency in using production management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Familiarity of lean manufacturing principles and process improvement methodologies.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
• Capability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for handling small electronic components.

Work Environment:

• M-F 7am to 4pm
• Manufacturing floor environment with exposure to electronic components, tools, and machinery.
• May require the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, safety glasses, and ESD protection.
